Robert Half Financial Services are hiring for a Regulatory Compliance Associate role for a Regional Bank with offices in Manhattan New York and Stamford Connecticut. Our client requires 3+ years Regulatory Compliance/Consumer Compliance experience within a Bank. The candidate must have experience across either Compliance Testing, Compliance Audit, Compliance Risk Assessment, Fair Banking or Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). The role requires 1 day per week in the Manhattan New York or Stamford Connecticut office, with 4 days work from home.
Reporting directly into the Chief Risk Officer and working closely with the Head of Compliance, this role is a key member of the regulatory risk and compliance team.
Responsibilities:
Compliance Management System (CMS) Support
• Assist with maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and governance documentation
• Help track and manage compliance issues, corrective actions, and follow-up activities
• Support the preparation, formatting, and distribution of compliance reporting and dashboards
Regulatory Monitoring & Research
• Conduct regulatory research and summarize updates to help the Bank stay current with changes in federal and state laws
• Support regulatory change management efforts by documenting requirements and impacts
• Assist in monitoring activities, testing reviews, and control assessments under guidance
Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) & Fair Banking Support
• Help collect, organize, and validate data for CRA reporting and performance evaluations
• Assist with community development documentation, tracking, and recordkeeping
• Support outreach, community program tracking, and preparation for CRA exams
Regulatory Exam & Audit Preparation
• Help organize exam and audit materials, evidence files, and document requests
• Assist in drafting responses, gathering data, and maintaining exam records
• Support the Head of Regulatory Risk & Compliance in coordinating meetings and follow-up
Training & Culture
• Assist in developing and maintaining compliance training materials and schedules
• Help track employee training completion and produce summary reports
• Support compliance communications and awareness initiatives
Technology, Data & Reporting
• Support data collection, quality checks, and report preparation for senior management and Board reporting
• Assist with the use and maintenance of compliance and risk systems, including automated tools
• Help maintain logs, trackers, and digital compliance repositories
Qualifications:
• 3+ years Regulatory Compliance/Consumer Compliance experience within a Bank
• Must have experience across either Compliance Testing, Compliance Audit, Compliance Risk Assessment, Fair Banking or Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)
• Bachelor Degree
